How long is each face to face workshop at the Convention?

The Development Coaching course involves a full day workshop which is comprised of a half day of theory and a half day of practical.

The Advanced and Performance workshops are half a day each in a lecture-style setting.

Do I have to do any work before I attend a workshop?

Yes. The workshop is only one part of each unit within the course. The workshop is designed to put the theory you’ve learned throughout the e-learning module, into practice. You must complete the related e-learning module before you attend each workshop. You’ll be issued a Progress Certificate on completion of each individual e-learning module where there is also a workshop requirement.

Can I still attend the workshop if I haven’t done the e-learning?

No. It is a requirement you’ve done the e-learning first. You will need to bring your Progress Certificate showing completion for each e-learning module. You also need to bring any homework tasks you’ve been asked to do within each e-learning module.

I registered for the Advanced or Performance workshops. What happens now?

You have registered an expression of interest to attend the course workshops at ASCTACON20. You must be enrolled in the relevant coaching course to be eligible to attend the workshops for that course. You will be emailed instructions on how to complete your course enrolment and payment in Swim Central within a week of submitting your EOI. Once this has been completed, Swimming Australia will contact you with details on how to access the course content via the Victoria University learning portal.
